We’re back!

We are thrilled to utilize this funding to provide more chances for the residents of Carlisle to engage with their heritage at the Roman archaeological site located at Carlisle Cricket Club, thanks to the Cricket Club's generosity in permitting us to excavate further, we will be conducting the dig from February 15th to March 1st, 2025.

Please note that this dig will take place during the winter months, so be prepared for potentially challenging weather conditions. Expect rain, cold temperatures, and muddy terrain. More information will be given once booked.

Each day will begin at 8:45 am, followed by a morning briefing at 9 am, which all volunteers are expected to attend. We typically schedule two short tea breaks and one longer lunch break throughout the day.
